Welcome to vistahelp.com.au. This site is intended to help you with most things you may want to do in Windows Vista as well as some Vista tips & tricks you may find useful.

If you are having some Vista problems and require some Windows Vista help then this is a good place to start. The vast majority of  Vista problems are caused by software issues, trojans, viruses etc.  So the most important thing to know is how to Repair Vista, Restore Vista and if all else fails, how to do a full Reinstall of Windows Vista. We have dedicated an entire section to this with step-by-step instructions.

How To Get Into Windows SAFE Mode

If you experience problems, SAFE MODE can often help. Enter Safe Mode and uninstall the most recent programs you have installed or start SYSTEM RESTORE and restore the computer back to a time when all was OK.

To get into the Windows Vista Safe mode, as the computer is booting press and hold your “F8 Key” which should bring up the Advanced Boot Options as shown above. Use your arrow keys to move to “Safe Mode” and press your Enter key.

Note: With some computers if you press and hold a key as the computer is booting you will get a stuck key message. If this occurs, instead of pressing and holding the “F8 key”, tap the “F8 key” continuously until you get the startup menu.

Once you restart out of Safe Mode the system will reboot into normal Windows Mode automatically.
